Although not everyone managed to finish Red Plenty it still got a positive response as an original way to tell the story of Soviet attempts to computerise their economy, even if it did get a little bit carried away with infinite detail from time to time.

Book for next time is Delhi by Khushwant Singh. This may require a little extra tracking down as it's published by Penguin India although I could find it on the decadent capitalist Amazon
and Ebay web sites.
